August is here! Can you believe it? Starting right this minute, I'm one of the Spotlight Designer's at Gotta Pixel! Woohoo! This is going to be so much fun! I've saved a really special kit to show you, and I've got freebies and sales, so it's going to be a month like none other!
With me celebrating this month is Paula Yagisawa. Make sure to check out her things as well. :)
Okay, for starters Paula and I will be giving away great matching page kits at Gotta Pixel in the Daily Downloads. Make sure to visit each and ever day in August to get both kits for FREE! We chose the colors together and then came up with a really wonderful idea. There are two ladies who work really hard for us, getting the word out about our designs to the Yahoo groups AND posting great things about us on their Adladies' Blog
We decided to honor Linda and Monica by naming our daily download kits after them. Presenting, Lady Linda and Miss Monica! Remember a daily visit to Gotta Pixel throughout the month will get you both of these kits! These kits will never be for sale but will move to the Subscription area after August. In this area is a wealth of free designs, so if you're not already a GP Subscription member, you'll want to check it out HERE.
As Spotlight Designer, for the month of August, my ENTIRE Gotta Pixel store will be 25% off! I have over 200 items in the store now, and they're ALL on SALE!

Here's the most special part of this post...
There's one more lady who bends over backwards for me every single day. We've called her my Blog Angel when she was posting so often here, but she's so much more than that! We've never really met in person, but she's my everything Angel! She runs my math game, making posts several times a day and sends out the link to the numberals when people win, AND she keeps awesome records so I can get prizes out at the end of the month. She makes sure my kits are front and center every day at DST by showing off CT layouts and coordinating other CT members to post as well. She's been linking up layouts in the gallery at GP to match my kits so that you can find them from the store preview. That's really neat! Now, she's even taking over the checkout and layout threads in my CT forums. The other scrappers check kits out from her, and she keeps track of the layouts they post. I've probably forgotten some of the things she does for me since it just goes on and on. Unless you're a designer, you probably don't realize all that goes on behind the scenes. We work all day many days without designing a thing, just to keep up with the marketing, etc., and Angel's always there asking me what else she can do for me.
You all know her all over the digiscrapping community as imangel! To honor this sweet lady in a super special way I've used the same color scheme Paula and I used for the kits above and have made a kit called For My Angel. For the first time ever, I used some freehand sketches scanned just as I had drawn them. I decided I liked them better without cleaning them up, so you get the angel drawings just as I made them. Let me show you how great it came out. :)
For My Angel ~ Gotta Pixel and Digitals ~ 25% off!
The last preview shows my friend, Angel, and the pieces I included in this kit that are favorites of hers. She told me this is what she'd like to see in a kit, and I hope I didn't leave anything out.
Angel, this is for you! Thank you for all that you do for me!
Bear with me so I can show off one of the layouts I've made with For My Angel. It's of my daughter and my dad ~ May, 1980.
This is what it says:
"Little Angel, you were always your Granddad’s favorite, and he couldn’t get enough of holding you. This was a very special day. We had driven to town to surprise him with a joint birthday party for the two of you all set up in his backyard. Your grandmother had to take him somewhere for a while so we could set up tables and chairs, decorate the trees and the swing set, and gets cakes and snacks all ready. He was so surprised to see us there when they got home, and he was so touched that we included him in the celebration of your first birthday! We even talked him into showing off his stuff on the highbar. He had always been a strong gymnist, and he was still amazing. You, Sweetie, just wanted him to hold you. May, 1980 Brandi ~ 1, Granddad ~ 69"
Thanks for letting me go on and on about being Spotlight Designer!
